About Us

Established in 2012, Chessie Creek Farm (CCF) collaborated with the University of Illinois on a project intended to create a nucleus herd of specific breeds of cattle (Gyr, Gry X Holstein crosses) to evaluate, select, and deploy animals with improved milk production for developing countries.

In 2022, CCF transitioned from Holstein/Gyr cattle to Black Angus cattle.

Not only is CCF committed to creating an angus herd with high quality genetics, but is also dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint through our ongoing timber operation and the coming addition of utilizing solar energy for our power needs.

In the Fall of 2023, we will be hosting our first annual Production Sale at the farm. However, if you are visiting this historical part of the country or call this beautiful area your home, we encourage you to spend some of your time visiting CCF and getting the chance to see our cattle. We are 1 hour west of Charleston and a 1 ½ hours northeast Hilton Head.
